Biking the Katy

Spotted this electric bicycle parked outside our favorite diner.
The Katy Trail is a few miles accross the river.
We spoke to the driver who told us he was riding the entire trail.
The Katy Trail State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Missouri that contains the Katy Trail, a recreational rail trail that runs 240 miles in the right-o-way of the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad which crosses the state from St.Louis to Kansas City.

  1. That looks like a serious touring bike loaded with all the necessary gear to be self sufficient.

  2. We stayed in a very nice RV Park on that Trail one time -- we had our bikes with us and rode along it to a lovely little town for dinner -- one of my fond memories of our 'full-time-life'. Cool that you live so close to it. I didn't realize that.
